This site is where I share essays, photographs and creative projects that come from asking hard questions \u2014 about who we are, what matters and how we stay human in a culture that often feels shallow, loud and disconnected.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m not interested in self-help clich\u00e9s or performative positivity. I\u2019m interested in honest reflection. In telling the truth about regret and hope. In learning how to love real people instead of idealized versions of them. In facing the fact that none of us gets unlimited time on this earth \u2014 and deciding to live more intentionally because of it.<\/p>\n

Some of what you\u2019ll find here is personal. Some is philosophical. Some is political, although I\u2019m trying to stay away from politics as much as possible these days. (Politics is both toxic and useless.) Much of what I write is about finding meaning in ordinary moments \u2014 often with the help of cats and dogs, who usually seem wiser than we are. After the recent death of my wonderful canine companion, Lucy<\/a>, I currently live with three cats \u2014 Alex<\/a>,\u00a0Oliver<\/a>\u00a0and Sam<\/a>. (That\u2019s Oliver with me in the studio.)<\/p>\n

If you\u2019re someone who feels deeply, thinks independently and suspects there has to be more to life than status, outrage or chasing the next distraction \u2014 you\u2019re probably in the right place.<\/p>\n
