The first of two YouTube channels for DavidMcElroy.TV is now live.<\/strong> The first is a collection of video essays that have already run on this site, all centered around the theme of Living Well in a Broken Culture<\/a>. There are only a handful of videos so far, but I\u2019ll be publishing at least one new video each week.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

The second channel will feature a new video series.<\/strong> This series \u2014 about 15 episodes \u2014 will explore how those living in a dysfunctional postmodern culture might be able to have better lives by making choices aligned with socially conservative or traditional values. It should be available by the end of 2026.<\/p>\n

This series is aimed squarely at those who are culturally conservative or who would like to be. It\u2019s not for everyone, because there are plenty of people who have no interest in the sort of life choices I\u2019m talking about. I\u2019m not trying to convince anyone about what\u2019s right for him or her. I\u2019m laying out a vision of an alternative to what\u2019s considered normal in our postmodern culture. It\u2019s for people who feel forgotten and alone because they feel marginalized by the far-left culture \u2014 and by an allegedly \u201cconservative\u201d culture which is dysfunctionally populist instead. It just might be right for many people who feel as though something\u2019s wrong in their lives and in their world \u2014 and who want to explore a possible solution.<\/p>\n

This series is not about politics.<\/strong> In fact, it will make the case that so-called \u201cconservative politics\u201d is a disastrous distraction from the voluntary choices that can make your life saner and more peaceful as you live in a world that\u2019s bent on destroying itself. It will assert that politics is self-destructive for those who choose to marinate in its toxicity, no matter what their intentions are.<\/p>\n

You are not at the mercy of the dysfunctional culture around you<\/strong>, but you have to unlearn much of what you\u2019ve been taught. You have to choose not to conform to the dysfunction, but that will require you to say no to some things which you\u2019ve come to see as normal and worthwhile.<\/p>\n

We\u2019ll talk about why that\u2019s true \u2014 and we\u2019ll talk about what you can do about it.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
