As spring comes to most parts of the country, many people are thinking about how to get into shape for the summer. Of course, some people are less eager to get started with the program.<\/p>\n

If you feel the same way about politics that I do, you find the entire presidential season distasteful. Asking which politician you want to be in charge of interfering in your life isn’t a choice to be enjoyed. (As a friend pointed out, those of pretty much every ideological persuasion generally feel this way.)<\/p>\n

As scientists search for the Higgs-Boson — the so-called “God Particle” — it occurs to some people that finding God isn’t convenient for some people.<\/p>\n

In the spring, a young man’s heart turns to love. That’s what the romantic poets claim, anyway. So if you’re a guy trying to win the heart of a girl, remember that the things you think work never do. They only want what they can’t have, it seems. (Wait. Isn’t this just as true in reverse, too?)<\/p>\n

And finally, do you suppose they would still ask the same question — whether there’s any intelligence up here — even if they could experience our culture first-hand?<\/p>\n
