Trendy ‘anti-racists’ don’t realize they’ve been conned by Marxists

By David McElroy · May 11, 2021

In the world of the so-called “anti-racist,” there’s no tolerance for anyone who believes in individual freedom. You must accept his Marxist definitions and political positions. Otherwise, you are a racist.

We have seen a bizarre distortion of reality and truth lately. Far-left ideologues have captured the public imagination and have claimed the moral high ground. They have redefined words in ways that mean you are a hateful racist unless you accept their views.

And the political and social success of these radicals has overwhelmed the reasoning of otherwise-intelligent people — to the point that far-left political ideology is sneaking its way into the mainstream. This leaves many educated middle-class white people accepting collectivist ideas and rejecting individual freedom.

Some of us have shown for years that the existing coercive structures of society were inherently oppressive to the individual. We’ve also repeatedly shown that this coercion — exercised by armed agents of governments — has been most harmful to those in society who are the most marginalized.

But now these modern Marxists have suckered a lot of people into believing that these very agents of oppression — the politicians and their coercive allies — are the ones who should be given even more power over every individual.

This is madness — and many decent people have fallen for this con game without realizing they are leading us straight into a form of evil which is worse than you can now imagine.

Genuine racism has always been evil. The real solution to racism has always been found in learning to treat every single person as an individual, regardless of his or her skin color or religion or other group identity. But the Marxists of the modern left teach group identity. To them, there are only oppressor groups and oppressed groups.

And if you happen to have been born with pale skin, you are an oppressor, no matter what you’ve done. If you happen to have darker skin, you are oppressed, not matter what you have done.

There was a time when we realized that it’s racism to treat people differently according to the color of their skin. The Marxists of the new “anti-racist” movement have redefined the term now. They say that only someone from an “oppressor group” — a white person — can be a racist. This new way of defining the word is both dishonest and evil.

I’ve spent time with genuine racists, so I know there are plenty of them. I’ve been around what I call “hard racists” among whites — those who openly hate blacks or Hispanics or pretty much anybody who doesn’t look like them. I’ve also been around what I call “soft racists,” those who don’t openly hate anybody, but who assume that almost all black folks are evil or stupid or untrustworthy.

But some of the most racist people I’ve ever spent time around were certain black politicians and their supporters when I worked in politics. At one point in my political career, I was consulting for all three of the white members of the Birmingham City Council. The mayor and the other six council members were black, and they held all of the power.

Birmingham City Hall was a hateful and racist cess pool — and I was on the receiving end of the hate and the racism when I walked the halls there doing my job. In this respect, it was very little different than the days when a mostly white city council had been filled with racists who hated the black minority.

In the far-left conception of “anti-racism,” we are expected to embrace a new form of racism — as whites slowly become a minority in this country — and we are expected to support Marxist ideas of group identity.

We are expected to give up merit-based systems and accept quotas of all types. We are expected to give up the last remnants of the free market system which created wealth and prosperity at a scale never seen before in history.

All of this is evil, but the trendy “anti-racists” are accepting these ideas without question, failing to understand that the way to fight oppression is to take power away from those who would use force to compel others to obey them.

I am an individual. I am not a token to represent whatever group you choose to fit me into. I will treat you — and every other person — as an individual who deserves to be treated according to his or her own actions and ideas.

I’m not going to treat you according to the color of your skin. I’m not going to accept the idea that I deserve to be treated in certain ways according to the color of my skin.

The Marxists are winning today. Their evil ideas are spreading. I believe their miserable policies will become widespread in the coming years — and I believe what they’re doing is going to bring about unspeakable misery and pain.

I won’t be a part of what they’re doing. If you have the intelligence and decency and morality to recognize that all humans are naturally free and equal individuals — who deserve to be treated according to “the content of their character” — you will reject this monstrous deception, too.

Future Photo Display

As part of my effort to rid my life of social media, I will no longer display links to my two Instagram accounts here. Those accounts will be dormant for the time being and will eventually be deleted. I plan to have a method for displaying photos here instead, but the solutions I’ve tested so far have been disappointing. I’m still working on it.

The first picture is when I just showed him around to acclimate him to the place again. He looked nice and natural, but I looked a bit ridiculous. 😺

I loved finding the pictures, but seeing these photos left me thinking about the effect it has on us when we lose an animal we love — and it was also a reminder of how much my life has changed for the last nine months it’s been since I lost her. I wrote an essay about this. You can find it as the most recent post at davidmcelroy.org right now if you’re interested. I really do miss this sweet girl.

Briefly

It turns out that the radical far left has been training “Antifa cats” to sabotage anything important to Donald Trump. Everything he did was perfect. Honest. It was all the cats’ fault. Arrest all the cats! This is the latest of my ridiculous satirical shorts. Please go watch it. Then “like” it and subscribe. Please. I’m begging you. (Too much?) Although a couple of the previous videos have had views in the hundreds, most have still been seen by fewer than 20 people. So I seem to be having trouble letting people know that page exists.

Here’s the latest of my ridiculous parody shorts. It crossed my mind Tuesday to wonder what a slick and fast-talking car dealer might do right now to try to turn the high price of gasoline to his advantage. So I conceived of a fat and lovable character who tried to sell cars that don’t use any fuel — and then I started wondering if it would be funnier if all the characters were felines. Designing the King Cashpaw character took about four hours, but the rest took only another four hours, so this was a relatively quick piece that virtually wrote itself. I know it’s almost impossible for these parody videos to find a larger audience, but at least they amuse me — and there are 19 of them on my YouTube page now. The first few were very limited, but they’re getting more complex.

The Republican Party is dead. It still exists in name, of course, but it’s nothing but a shell. All that’s left are idiots and stooges and con men of the MAGA party. When Donald Trump is gone — which won’t be long — those populist idiots and pragmatic fools will have no one to follow. Democrats will thrive. They will take more power than ever and they will push the federal government further to the radical far left than ever. When that happens, don’t just blame Trump if you’re a conservative. Blame every person who has claimed to be a conservative and has given up on principles, character and everything else that Republicans once claimed to stand for. As someone who worked as a GOP political consultant for many years, this is disgusting and disturbing to me. Those who have enabled Trump to have almost unchecked power are going to be shocked when they see what they will unleash in the long run. It’s been plain all along what this narcissistic con man is. It’s your fault that you chose to pretend not to see what he really is.

We are ruled by the dumbest and most incompetent people among us — and we have a system which allows stupid and irresponsible people to force the costs of their idiocy onto smarter and wiser people. Can we get away with that? Yes, for quite some time. But we eventually reach a point at which the dumbest of the dumb — who are habitual liars and mentally ill fools — lead us to the disasters and destruction that some of us have seen coming for years. We are approaching that point. And yet most of the idiots around us still wave their rhetorical banners of support for the evil people who are leading us to ruin — and all of them point their fingers at someone else, never noticing that their own enthusiastic support of evil is to blame. When things finally fall apart, blame yourself for your blindness to the evil, not whoever happens to be in power when it happens.

I’ve been making some changes to the site lately and there are more changes coming in the days ahead, so don’t be surprised if you some small differences. This is not a wholesale redesign, but rather the addition of some features. Since they’re smarter than I am, I’ve put Oliver and Alex in charge of the technical work, which you can see in this action photo from the control room of our media complex. I recently added a series of landing pages for readers who randomly discover the site from an Internet search. I’ve also changed the YouTube link at the top of the page to go to the new YouTube channel for video essays that reflect things I’ve already published here. (Here’s a little bit about both of the YouTube channels I’m working on.) In addition, I’m trying to move away from using Instagram, so I’m experimenting with photo plug-ins that will eventually allow me to host the pictures — cats, dogs, sunsets, whatever — that I often take. So don’t be surprised to see more changes. Thanks for your patience. Let’s hope Alex and Oliver know what they’re doing.
