For me, there’s only one “must see” Christmas story each year. You can keep your Charlie Brown Christmas and Frosty and all the rest. There’s no secular Christmas story in the world that compares to “How the Grinch Stole Christmas.” Just be thankful I’m not around as you watch this, because I know the words to the songs — and I sing them with glee. I have the book version, too, just waiting to be read to the children I hope to have one day. I hope you’ll enjoy watching that old Grinchy Claus’s heart grow as much as I do each year.
‘How the Grinch Stole Christmas’

Midlife becomes big crisis when our self-deception stops working
Trivial distractions keep us from focusing on love and connection
We who believe life has meaning have lost war for modern culture
What did you want in childhood? Did you abandon those dreams?
Best years of our lives? For me, teen years were start of feeling like alien
Without real human connection, we’re just living in a simulation
Heart that truly loves is a servant for another’s happiness and peace
Throwaway culture can leave us looking for something that lasts
